Clothes Aid’s New T-Shirt Tags

Helpline: 08450 722 780

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Clothes Aid are constantly working to make what we do more environmentally friendly. We are happy to innovate and are proud of our creative efforts in trying to improve our operations.

One fantastic new idea we are trying out will help us to reduce the impact on the environment by using a new T-Shirt Tag instead of a plastic bag. We are trialling the Tag in parts of East Anglia.

All you need to do is fill your own bag with donated clothes, shoes, and bedding, attach the tag and leave it outside. Clothes Aid’s van will collect your donations as normal.

The whole of the clothing sector puts out millions of bags each year but unfortunately, not all are used to make donations.

Clothes Aid doesn’t want to be a part of that but our latest idea will mean that households who don’t wish to donate, won’t have a wasted bag to get rid of.

And the Tag is printed on paper from sustainable forests – brilliant.

What to do…

Fill your own bag(s) with the clothes, shoes, and bedding you want to donate and tie it up.

Then loop one of the ‘ears’ of one of the bags through the hole in the tag and knot it so it’s attached firmly.

Check you haven’t included bric-a-brac, toys or books as we are unable to reuse these. Put it out for collection.

By helping to cut down on wastage, consumers are being given a way to dispose of their used clothes whilst at the same time saving the environment and raising money for charity.
