News - Jeff Banks Launches NSPCC Great British Clothes Clearout
In partnership with Clothes Aid
On Friday the 15th of January 2010, Jeff Banks launched the NSPCC Great British Clothes Clearout, encouraging the nation to clear out their wardrobe to help raise funds for the NSPCC.
To mark the launch, Jeff Banks cleared out his own wardrobe donating over 1000 items to the NSPCC and Clothes Aid.
Speaking about the clearout, he said:
"I think clothes are there to be worn, not hidden away in your wardrobe! So I want everyone to join the NSPCC's Great British Clothes Clearout to help prevent cruelty to children".
Clothes Aid is aiming to raise £2 million for the NSPCC and will need to collect more than 5 million bags of second hand clothing over the next two years.
